Refund Policy

Effective date: 25 July 2026 · Last updated: 25 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellations and refunds work for Acreate subscriptions. It should be read alongside our Terms of Service.

1. Free trial

New paid subscriptions (Acreate Family and Acreate Tutor) include a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but you will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you won't be charged anything. If you don't cancel, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial and your payment method is charged the applicable plan price.

2. Subscription billing and auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions bill automatically each month or year (depending on the plan you choose) until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription (personal accounts) or your organisation's billing page (organisation accounts), which opens Stripe's secure Billing Portal.

When you cancel, you keep access to your plan's paid features until the end of the current billing period you've already paid for. Your account then reverts to the free plan — your existing worksheets and classes remain accessible, but paid-plan limits (worksheet builds, uploads, branding) no longer apply.

3. Refunds

Except where required by law (see section 4), we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, including if you cancel partway through a month or year you've already paid for, or if you simply don't use the Service during a paid period. Because trials give you a full 7 days to evaluate the Service before any charge occurs, we encourage you to use the trial to confirm Acreate is right for you before subscribing.

If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after you believe you cancelled in time), contact us at support@acreate.com.au and we'll investigate and correct genuine billing errors.

4. Your consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified — for example, your right to a remedy if the Service fails to be of acceptable quality or fit for the purpose we described. Where the ACL gives you a right to a refund, repair or replacement, this policy does not override that right.

5. Enterprise and organisation plans

Custom Enterprise arrangements (for schools, districts and large teams) are subject to the payment and cancellation terms in the specific agreement signed with that customer, which take precedence over this policy for that account.
