Cookie Policy

Effective date: 25 July 2026 · Last updated: 30 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Acreate ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on acreate.com.au and app.acreate.com.au, and how you can manage your preferences. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that let a website remember information about your visit, such as your sign-in state or preferences. We also use similar browser storage (such as local storage) for some of the same purposes.

2. The cookies we use

Essential cookies (always on)

These are necessary for the Service to work and can't be switched off. They don't require consent under Australian law because they're strictly necessary to provide the service you've requested.

Analytics cookies (optional — only with your consent)

These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. They are off by default and only activate if you click "Accept analytics" on the cookie banner.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.

Authenticated service analytics (no analytics cookie)

When you are signed in, Acreate's servers record limited first-party product lifecycle events needed to understand account activation, subscription reliability and whether customers successfully create worksheets or teaching plans. This processing does not place or read PostHog browser analytics cookies and continues if you choose "Only essential." It uses your Acreate account ID and, where applicable, your Clerk organization ID, plus safe configuration and outcome metadata. We never include worksheet prompts, generated content, uploaded files or raw error messages in these events.

3. Managing your preferences

When you first visit the Service, you'll see a cookie banner where you can choose "Only essential" or "Accept analytics." You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies/site data for acreate.com.au (or app.acreate.com.au) and revisiting the Service, which will show the banner again. You can also control cookies generally through your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Service (such as signing in) from working.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above.
